makes sure things are neat and organized after projects
are complete without being told. Keep up the great
work!

Our RAOK honoree is Luke. He goes out of his way to help
all the students of our class, even if it is just helping
them straighten a messy desk, or share a lunch with a
friend who forgot his.

This
month of November, I'd like to recognize and congratulate
the Steele School student council members for organizing
and collecting canned goods for the annual Thanksgiving
food drive. Hundreds of cans and boxes of food were
collected by all the students, sorted into food groups,
and distributed amongst hungry and needy people. The food
drive is always a great way for students to help other
people! Thanks for giving!

Teacher - Grade 5
Our class has chosen Jacquelyn as our November
nomination. Her classmates see her as a role model for
others. She is respectful and responsible in class. She
often receives high grades but never boasts about them.
She works well with others and doesn't complain or
criticize others when things don't go well. She is
helpful to others; Jacquelyn often helps classmates when
they get stuck on class work. She never gossips or makes
poor comments about others. Her comments are always kind
and she sees the good in people. We couldn't nominate her
for just one act of random kindness because she shows so
many kind acts.

Harriet Stolzenberg
Teacher - computer lab
This month I would like to honor a special 2nd grader,
Tyler, in Mrs. Geller's class. I have watched him since
the beginning of the year performing different acts of
kindness each week. He always goes out of his way to help
a classmate or push a chair in before he leaves the
computer lab. He always seems to put others first. Tyler
sets an example for everyone to follow!

Bishop found a dollar in the hallway. He gave it to his
teacher. If we can't find out who the dollar belongs to,
we will donate it to the Penny Harvest. Hajra also found
a ring in the classroom and gave it to the teacher. We
later found out it was another girl's in the
class.

For the month of December, the Random Act of Kindness
will be award to Gerardo Valle. Gerardo has demonstrated
to his classmates how much he cares about them. He came
in one morning to class very excited about sharing a bag
of Oreo cookies but noticed after counting that he would
not have enough. Needless to say, he pulled apart the
cookies and passed it out to all the students. All the
boys and girls were thankful and enjoyed that special
treat.
